About
Peter is a dedicated advocate for individuals harmed by others, driven by holding corporations accountable when they put profits before people. He thrives on challenging cases with complex legal and factual issues. Before joining Zaner Law Personal Injury Lawyers, he represented plaintiffs in a wide variety of matters, including catastrophic injuries from explosions, defective products, trucking, and wrongful death, and has litigated cases from inception through appeal. In 2023, he helped secure the 12th largest jury verdict in Colorado as second chair in a federal jury trial. As plaintiff’s counsel, he has litigated numerous other complex injury cases where plaintiffs were awarded seven and eight-figure verdicts. Peter’s professional background before coming to the law includes years spent in the labor movement as an organizer, during which he advocated for a wide range of public-sector employees at the state and local levels. His experience included workplace and political organizing, designing and implementing training, and negotiating a wide range of labor-management issues. On November 4, 2025, Peter was elected to a four-year term on the Jeffco Public Schools Board of Education. He currently serves as second vice president on the Board. In his spare time, Peter stays active as much as possible, including biking, hiking, paddleboarding, and strength training. He’s an avid cook and a music lover with an embarrassingly large vinyl collection. Recently, he began playing guitar, albeit poorly. In his youth, he studied music and played trombone in various ensembles. He particularly enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
