Robby Alexander King

I am a former criminal prosecutor who served in the Gwinnett and Alcovy Judicial Circuits, covering Walton and Newton Counties. Over the course of 20 years, I prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including serious violent felonies, misdemeanors, traffic offenses, and juvenile matters. Throughout my career, I brought more than 100 cases to trial, securing guilty verdicts in cases involving murder, child abuse, sex offenses, armed robbery, domestic violence, white-collar crimes, and many others. During my time as a prosecutor, I had the privilege of training numerous young prosecutors and local police officers in criminal law and procedure. I also managed a Superior Court trial team for years, working alongside other assistant district attorneys, investigators, and support staff. In 2023, I transitioned to private practice to use my experience to assist those in need. I understand the significant impact the choice of attorney can have on the outcome of a case. I am committed to providing effective, responsive, and compassionate representation, working to help clients resolve their cases in the best way possible. In addition to handling criminal cases, I have developed a growing practice in family law, helping individuals navigate divorce, financial matters, and child custody issues. I have also successfully assisted clients with domestic violence concerns, legitimation matters, and guardianship efforts. I earned my Juris Doctor from Georgia State University in 2003, following my graduation from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Engineering. I am proud to be a member of the Gwinnett County Bar Association, Newton County Bar Association, Walton County Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. I have also been recognized by National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 criminal defense trial attorney in the State of Georgia.
