About
I have focused my legal career on providing thoughtful and compassionate solutions in employment and labor law. Before co-founding WFPC, I gained valuable experience in private practice at several of New York’s leading law firms. I also served in a dual legal and HR role at one of New York City's largest children’s charities. Today, I advise clients on a wide range of employment and labor law matters and advocate for them in adversary proceedings when necessary. I work closely with business owners and HR leaders to help identify, manage, or mitigate employment-related risks. My experience includes guiding clients through complex workforce reductions, updating hiring practices, drafting employee handbooks and corporate policies, and conducting audits on exemption and pay practices. I have developed and delivered training programs for management and employees and supported the launch of HR-led strategic initiatives, including acquisitions. I have successfully defended against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to provide leave, and failure to accommodate. Additionally, I have secured injunctions in cases involving unfair competition practices and negotiated favorable settlements in collective and class action wage and hour disputes, as well as union arbitration matters. I have also represented clients in audits and hearings with the New York State Department of Labor concerning claims of contractor misclassification. Civic responsibility and pro bono work are important to me. Over the course of my career, I have represented claimants during unemployment insurance hearings, advocated for breastfeeding and reproductive health rights for women, and represented children in child protective and juvenile delinquency hearings in Family Court. Currently, I serve on the board of Wheel it Forward, a lending library for durable medical equipment based in Stamford.
