Julia Wobbe

I am Julia Wobbe, and I founded Wobbe Tenant Law, PC, a tenant rights law firm located in San Francisco. I focus on representing tenants across the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, Fremont, and San Rafael, as well as selected cases in Los Angeles County. I have devoted my legal career to standing up for tenants facing significant housing challenges. Before establishing Wobbe Tenant Law, I spent a decade working at one of California’s well-known tenant rights law firms, handling complex landlord-tenant disputes. My work centers on cases involving wrongful eviction, landlord harassment, habitability issues, failure to conduct necessary repairs, unlawful rent increases, and no-fault evictions, including those related to owner move-ins (OMI), relative move-ins (RMI), Ellis Act withdrawals, and renovation-related evictions. Through my firm, I help tenants address some of the toughest housing problems, such as displacement, unsafe living conditions, and attempts at unlawful eviction. My practice encompasses both litigation and pre-litigation advocacy, including negotiating tenant buyouts and pursuing claims tied to uninhabitable housing conditions and improper actions by landlords. Beyond my work, I enjoy hiking around the Bay Area, weightlifting, and discovering the region’s wide variety of food.
