Jermaine Brown

I have walked in my clients' shoes. I know what it feels like to shoulder a burden alone, to face an institution that refuses to acknowledge you, and to question if anyone is truly on your side. I’ve been there. Before attending law school, I challenged a national security agency over its hiring practices and retaliatory actions—and I prevailed. As a result, the agency was required to create and staff a new office, retrain its leadership, and implement systemic changes that benefited employees and applicants for years. For over a decade, I served as a lead negotiator within the intelligence and national security community. Through that experience, I gained an understanding of how large institutions operate—how they make decisions, protect themselves, and where their vulnerabilities lie. I apply that knowledge to help level the playing field between my clients and the institutions they face, ensuring they are seen, respected, and held accountable for their actions. I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, where I was honored with CALI Awards for achieving the highest grades in Civil Rights Legislation & Enforcement and Public Education Law. I also hold a Master of Business Administration from Frostburg State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with a minor in Rhetoric, from the University of Maryland. Additionally, I am fluent in American Sign Language.
