Julian Lopez

Julian graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Government in 1977. He graduated with honors and was on the Dean’s List. In 1980, he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with his J.D. degree. Julian is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and the United States District Court for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, San Antonio Bar Association, Society of Ethical Attorneys at Law, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association where he is also a member of the Board of Directors. Additionally, Julian is a member of College of the State Bar of Texas. This organization requires at least 30 continuing legal education hours per year which is twice the required hours for all attorneys. Before coming to Wayne Wright, LLP, Julian spent four years as a felony prosecutor for Cameron County in Brownsville, Texas. After leaving Cameron County, Julian became a lead prosecutor at the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney, Special Crimes Division. He also has represented insurance companies before he became a plaintiff’s attorney so he is well prepared to counter the insurance companies’ tactics. The skills and knowledge Julian learned over the time have been crucial in his career and being the attorney he is today. Julian has been with Wayne Wright, LLP since 2009 and enjoys the one-on-one interaction with his clients. He loves helping others and is genuinely interested in making sure his clients recover the maximum compensation. In his spare time, Julian also takes an interest in helping the ill and elderly by being a supporter of the Make a Wish program for ill children and Meals on Wheels for the elderly.
