About
Kate’s behind-the-scenes legal experience gives her a distinct advantage in handling nursing home and complex civil litigation cases. Early in her career, she served as a staff attorney for Fulton County Superior Court Judge Jack Goger, where she gained a rare, comprehensive view of how courts evaluate cases. During her clerkship, she worked on hundreds of matters, including nursing home abuse, personal injury, and medical malpractice, at every stage, from discovery through jury trial. Following her clerkship, Kate joined one of Atlanta’s leading civil defense firms, where she built a strong nursing home defense practice and was ultimately elected partner. She represented major insurance companies in high-stakes cases involving nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, and motor vehicle accidents. This experience gave her an insider’s understanding of how the nursing home industry and insurance companies operate, insight she now uses to strategically assess claims, anticipate defense tactics, and advocate effectively for her clients. Today, Kate is dedicated to representing individuals and families harmed by nursing home abuse and negligence. She leverages her deep knowledge of defense strategies to pursue justice and meaningful results for those affected. Originally from Lilburn, Georgia, Kate attended Parkview High School. She is married and a proud mother of five. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, experiencing new cultures, and attending live music events. A former avid runner, she recently returned to the sport and completed her first half marathon.
