About
At Wagner Hughes Georgia Nursing Home Abuse Lawyers, Gretchen dedicates her practice to representing individuals who have suffered serious injuries due to negligence, abuse, or medical malpractice in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes. Before co-founding Wagner Hughes, LLC, Gretchen spent over eleven years as a partner at a respected mid-sized Atlanta law firm, where she defended complex personal injury cases involving medical malpractice, trucking accidents, and premises liability. During that time, she represented physicians, nurses, medical practices, a major Atlanta hospital system, national retailers, and large insurance companies. This extensive defense experience provides her with a strategic advantage, offering firsthand insight into how the opposing side evaluates, prepares, and litigates high-stakes injury claims. Gretchen’s deep experience in medical litigation is especially valuable in handling nursing home abuse and medical negligence cases, where both the legal and medical complexities demand a sophisticated approach. She leverages this background to effectively build strong cases and pursue meaningful outcomes for her clients. She is particularly passionate about advocating for victims of nursing home abuse and neglect. Gretchen believes that each case not only helps her clients and their families, but also contributes to improving conditions and accountability within care facilities for future residents. Gretchen graduated with Honors from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business in 1998 with a B.B.A. in International Business. She went on to earn her law degree with Honors from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2002. She has been consistently recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” and named a Georgia Trend Legal Elite. Gretchen also served on the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Foundation Board and co-chaired its signature Art Auction fundraiser for two consecutive years.
