About
I grew up in Toledo, Ohio, but I’ve called Montana home for nearly two decades. In January 2023, I founded Vista Law, PLLC, where my practice focuses on property law, small utility law, business transactions, and environmental law. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wake Forest University, a law degree from the University of Montana, and a Master of Law degree in Environmental Law from Lewis & Clark University. During law school, I had the privilege of serving as the Publication Editor for the Public Land and Resources Law Review. Prior to starting Vista Law, I worked as an attorney at two midsize Montana law firms. I previously served as Chair of the Natural Resource, Energy, & Environmental Law Section for the Montana State Bar. Over the years, I’ve written papers and delivered presentations on property, utility, and environmental issues. I’m also a graduate of the NARUC Rate School, where I studied water utility rate-making. Currently, I serve on the boards of the Helena Ski Patrol Foundation and Preserve Montana. When I’m not practicing law, I enjoy spending time outdoors—whether it’s skiing, fly fishing, hiking, or playing tennis. My wife Laura and I have two wonderful daughters and two Labrador retrievers.
