Sarah Elizabeth Powell

Sarah E. Powell, Esq., is a founding partner of Bullard & Powell. Her practice areas are focused on criminal defense and plaintiff personal injury matters. Her goal is to help those that have been criminally charged with a crime or who have been injured by another’s negligence or intentional misconduct, navigate what can be a complicated legal system. To that end, she incorporates the values of hard work, passion and the philosophy of never giving up to everything she does. Prior to founding Bullard & Powell, Ms. Powell worked as Senior Associate Attorney with a large law firm handling both criminal and civil matters, leading up the firm’s civil litigation unit. During this time, she handled a diverse range of criminal and civil matters from vehicular manslaughter to misdemeanor driving under the influence cases, as well as, wrongful death matters and civil rights violations. In addition, she has been involved in a number of high-profile matters, including a civil matter entitled, Tina Satterwhite v. Terrance Elliott, where she devoted an estimate of 2,000 pro bono hours representing a plaintiff defrauded of over $100,000 by the Pastor of her Church. In 2014, she was recognized by the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino for this work. In 2013, she was selected by the Consumer Attorneys of the Inland Empire to act as an Attorney Liaison Member to speak with State Assembly Member Cheryl Brown about the closing of local courts and the effect on the community. She has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2016 and 2017.
