Mike Hanson

Mike Hanson is a highly accomplished trial attorney at Varghese Summersett, where he oversees the firm’s Houston office. He has been practicing law for over a decade—as a prosecutor, military lawyer, and now a sought-after criminal defense attorney. He is also Board Certified in Juvenile Law by the Texas Board of Legal Certification, a distinction held by only a small number of attorneys statewide. Mike has extensive experience handling a wide range of adult and juvenile misdemeanors and felonies, having tried more than 60 cases before a jury. He is especially passionate about cases involving veterans and other at-risk populations that often deserve treatment and rehabilitation over harsh punishment. In fact, he is one of only 70 attorneys in Texas who are Board Certified in Juvenile Law, and one of just two who actively practice in Fort Bend County, giving families access to rare, specialized experience when a child’s future is at stake.
