Justin William Aanenson

Growing up, I was deeply inspired by the courtroom tales my grandfather, a criminal defense attorney in Helena, Montana, would share. These stories fueled my passion for law, leading me to become a licensed attorney in Washington State in 2012. I later founded Truce Law with the aim of providing a more constructive experience for clients dealing with family law issues. I am dedicated to making the divorce process simpler and less stressful by providing clients with the necessary tools to achieve amicable resolutions. I am a collaboratively trained attorney and a certified mediator. My efforts in the field have been recognized when I was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for the years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, an honor awarded to less than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state. My academic background includes a law degree from Seattle University School of Law, where I was honored as a Washington State Scholar, a distinction reserved for the top 1% of applicants. Additionally, I hold a degree in business administration with majors in finance and marketing from the University of Washington, and I have completed a certificate program in Popular Fiction Writing at UW. Outside the professional sphere, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me engaged. I enjoy fly fishing, playing Commander—a variant of Magic: The Gathering—and I am actively working towards my goal of shooting par in golf.
