Troy Windel Marsh Jr

Troy Marsh is the founder and sole attorney at The Marsh Law Firm in Statesboro, Georgia, where he has represented individuals in personal injury, wrongful death, DUI defense, and criminal defense for over 31 years. He has served as lead counsel in thousands of cases involving car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, bicycle accidents, bus accidents, and catastrophic injury and wrongful death across Georgia. Troy earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in 1994, where he was a Frances Wood Wilson Scholar, Ryals Foundation Scholar, and American Jurisprudence Award recipient. He earned his B.S. in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia in 1987. Troy is admitted to practice in all State and Superior Courts in Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Northern, and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In 1998, Governor Zell Miller appointed Troy as Solicitor-General of Screven County, where he served as the sole prosecuting attorney in the State Court of Screven County. This prosecution experience directly informs his criminal defense practice. Troy has served as an adjunct instructor at Georgia Southern University, teaching Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Judicial Process. He currently serves on the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors and previously served on the State Bar's Committee on Lawyer Advertising, Fair Marketing Practices Committee, and Special Committee on Attorney-Client Solicitation. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Troy's practice covers personal injury and wrongful death claims statewide, DUI and criminal defense in Statesboro, Bulloch County, and surrounding communities including Savannah, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Metter, and Glennville.
