About
John Troy is the Managing Attorney of Troy Law. He was admitted in 1989, in New York; U.S. District Court, Eastern, Northern and Southern; and the Second Court of Appeals. Troy graduated from the National Chengchi University in Taiwan and the Dickinson School of Law in Pennsylvania. Since 1989, Troy has continuously served the Flushing community in a plethora of legal services, ranging from transactions to complex litigation. Headed by Mr. Troy, Troy Law has evolved to become the premier Plaintiffs’-side employment wage-and-hour firm both in the broader New York area and nationally. Troy Law only represents employees, mostly low-income immigrant workers, in wage-and-hour and employment discrimination disputes. Troy has written extensively on Fair Labor Standards Act and New York Labor Law minimum wage, overtime compensation, and record-keeping requirements: his op-ed on Taiwanese envoy Hsien-Hsien “Jacqueline” Liu’s fraudulent foreign labor contracting of two Filipino maids has been published in China Times, the fourth largest Taiwanese newspaper in circulation, and his interviews on wage-and-hour law and requirements has been featured in Sing Tao Daily, Hong Kong’s second largest newspaper, and World Journal, the largest Chinese-language newspaper in the United States. Beyond employment litigation, Troy also has extensive experience in undertaking Real Estate Transactions, Matrimonial Disputes, Incorporation, Bankruptcy, Wills, Commercial Litigation, and Personal Injury Litigation.
