Adam Mark Weingart

I started my career defending people accused of crimes in the Criminal Courts. I lived for the rush of a jury trial and the thrill of going up against "the system". As it does though, fate intervened when a close friend of mine got into a nasty custody dispute with his ex-wife. He asked me to step-up as a lawyer and as a friend and I did. At the conclusion of that matter I had found that I had a real talent for Domestic Relations law. It turns out I had the drive and ruthlessness it took to be an effective advocate in the Family Courts. Sometimes you have to take a few risks and that is what I did. Shortly after my friend's custody case came to a close I took on my first divorce case that did not involve children as I was curious about the possibility of my path veering into Family law. Long story short, here we are years later and Family Law is all I do now. Working with Mark Weingart, my father and mentor, I built up a Domestic Relations (Family Law) subsidiary to the existing Criminal Law firm. I am proud to say that now I have left my own mark on a well known and locally renowned company that my father started over 30 years ago. I enjoy Family Law because it incorporates and involves many different types of law. For example: contract law can be applied to agreements between parties in a divorce and constitutional law when dealing with things like jurisdiction. I love that no two cases are the same and everyday is a new challenge and a new set of problems that require a cool head or quick action.
