About

“Plaintiff ultimately obtained a very good result… largely due to Norman Steiner’s outstanding trial performance, which resulted in an excellent verdict of $400,000.” — Judge James I. Cohn, United States District Judge, Southern District of Florida It is rare for a federal judge to publicly credit a trial result directly to the attorney. In a published opinion, Judge Cohn did exactly that—recognizing what clients, juries, and adversaries see when Norman Steiner litigates: passion, skill, discipline, care, and experience. Norm developed discipline through military service and years of rigorous martial arts and boxing training. His passion for justice came from witnessing wrongful arrests and profiling in New York City, which inspired him to attend law school and fight for the unfairly treated. While attending law school at night, Norm worked by day for an elite criminal defense firm known as the “Fabulous Four.” By graduation, he had already second-chaired more than ten complex felony trials. He was then hired by New York’s Legal Aid Society during a year with only six hires among thousands of applicants. Norm quickly rose to senior trial attorney and trial trainer before entering private practice. On August 11, 2006, Norm’s life changed forever. While riding his Ducati to federal court in Brooklyn, he was involved in a devastating crash that resulted in the traumatic amputation of his left leg. Doctors said he might never walk again. Six months later, he relearned to walk with his young son. After experiencing catastrophic injury firsthand, Norm dedicated his career to personal injury law. Today he is an experienced trial lawyer for serious car crash and motorcycle accident cases. He understands both the legal battle and the physical and emotional toll a crash causes. Norm knows how insurance companies defend accident claims—and more importantly, how to defeat them at trial. His real-life experience allows him to explain injuries to juries in a way few lawyer
