Lauren Scardella

I graduated from American University in Washington, DC, and Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. Since 2009, I have focused exclusively on municipal court and criminal defense, particularly on Driving While Intoxicated cases, traffic offenses, and criminal matters in New Jersey Municipal Courts. I have also been involved in legal education and have been recognized by my peers in Super Lawyers Magazine for DWI defense annually since 2023, following my recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the same field from 2017 through 2021. Previously, I received the Mercer County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer of the Year award and served on its Board of Trustees for six years. During my time with the association, I chaired the Municipal and Criminal Bench Bar Committees as well as the Women Lawyers Committee. I founded The Scardella Law Firm LLC, where I am the sole member, and have built a successful practice based in Hamilton, New Jersey. After relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona, in June 2025, I continue to operate my New Jersey practice remotely.
