Maya Arriaga Martin

While at Colorado Law, I developed a strong commitment to public interest and criminal defense. I worked closely with the Korey Wise Innocence Project (KWIP) in several different capacities as a volunteer, extern, and an Office of Alternate Defense Counsel (OADC) legal researcher. This experience sparked my passion for appellate and postconviction work and helped develop my skills in effective legal research and writing. I still collaborate on cases with KWIP in her capacity as an attorney. I am committed to defending and advocating for the rights of those affected by the criminal justice system. My approach to legal representation aims to support every client and empower them to be heard within a system where they often don’t have a voice.
