Monica Cooper Napier

Monica Cooper Napier is a Houston criminal defense attorney at The Napier Law Firm, PLLC, where she represents individuals facing serious state and federal criminal charges, including white collar offenses, healthcare fraud, money laundering, drug crimes, sex crimes, violent crimes, and other high-stakes felony matters. A former federal and state prosecutor, Monica brings extensive courtroom experience and a deep understanding of how criminal cases are investigated, charged, and tried. Before entering private practice, Monica served as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Fraud Section, where she investigated and tried complex federal fraud cases throughout Texas and across the country. She previously served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases and was selected as Chief of the Domestic Violence Unit. Monica earned her J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law and her B.A. with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin. She was inducted into the Order of Barristers and received the Best Mock Trial Advocate award in her graduating class.
