About
I have been practicing criminal law for nearly a decade, drawing on my background as a former prosecutor to provide thorough and strategic legal representation. My approach to defense is informed by my in-depth knowledge of the strategies employed by the state, enabling me to offer a robust and well-prepared defense for my clients. My academic journey began at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where I earned my Juris Doctor with honors. While pursuing my degree, I was dedicated to fostering institutional diversity, founding the Hispanic Student Association and actively contributing as a member of the school’s Diversity Committee. In 2016, I became licensed to practice law in Tennessee and started my career with the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office. This position marked a significant milestone as I became the first male Hispanic Assistant District Attorney in Nashville’s history. During my nearly four years in this role, I handled a wide range of cases, including those involving domestic violence, DUI and vehicular crimes, as well as misdemeanor and felony offenses. Born in Colombia, I am a native Spanish speaker and look to represent people of all backgrounds and communities.
