Cassie Murphy

A Partner at Paone, Zaleski & Murphy, Ms. Murphy focuses her practice in family law, child custody, and divorce. Ms. Murphy is admitted to the bar in New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia. Ms. Murphy is a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney. Ms. Murphy was also appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to the Matrimonial Law Certification Committee, the committee responsible for evaluating applications for certification. Ms. Murphy is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys. Ms. Murphy is a long-standing voting member of the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She was elected as Treasurer of the Executive Committee for the 2025-2026 term, thus serving as one of six Officers of the Executive Committee. Ms. Murphy is an appointed member of the Amicus Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ms. Murphy is also currently serving a three-year term as an appointed member of the Monmouth County Family Law Committee. Ms. Murphy is an Associate Editor for New Jersey Family Lawyer, a publication of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Ms. Murphy is a regular speaker at seminars addressing issues relating to family law. Ms. Murphy also co-authored the second edition of the book titled “Divorce in New Jersey” with named partner John P. Paone Jr. Ms. Murphy is a member of the Middlesex County, Monmouth County, and New Jersey State (Family Law Section) Bar Associations. She presently serves on the Middlesex County Family Law Committee. Ms. Murphy earned her Bachelor’s Degree at University of Maryland. She earned her Juris Doctorate from University of Maryland School of Law, cum laude. Ms. Murphy was selected to be included in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Ms. Murphy has received the honor of being included in the Super Lawyers list published by Thomson Reuters for 2020-2025* and Top 50 Women Super Lawyers in New Jersey for 2025*.
