About

Parks Dance was born in Memphis, Tennessee, where he resided with his mother, father, and siblings. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. During his undergraduate studies, he interned at Hindman & Lanzon, where he quickly realized he wanted to pursue a career in criminal law. Parks attended law school at Loyola University in New Orleans, during which time he worked for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, participated in the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice, and completed an externship with Knox County Senior Criminal Court Judge Steven W. Sword. He graduated in 2023 and, upon passing the bar, began his career as a criminal defense attorney at The Lanzon Firm. After gaining invaluable experience at his prior firm, Parks founded The Dance Firm, located in Knox County. Parks established The Dance Firm with the goal of distinguishing himself from other firms by being easily reachable to all of his clients while providing affordable, experienced legal representation. The Dance Firm offers legal services to clients in Knox County and the surrounding counties, continuing Parks’s commitment to strong, compassionate, and justice-driven advocacy. Parks is a loving son, brother, and friend to many. He is an initial board member of the Bill Dance Friends & Family Foundation, which serves the great State of Tennessee. He can often be found wrestling with his beloved labs, Tee & Beauregard, fishing with his grandfather, Bill Dance, hiking the Smoky Mountains, or cheering on the Vols. He is a devout Catholic and attends Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in downtown Knoxville. With a deep passion for helping others, Parks is dedicated to guiding clients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. He has an unwavering ability to see the best in people and pairs his empathy with fierce advocacy in the pursuit of justice.
