About
"When I defend a person, I don't just argue her or his case; I want the Court, and our society to provide that person the profound gift of a second chance at life." Harutiun "Harry" Kassakhian I began my legal career as a criminal prosecutor in Northern California (Humboldt County) and New Mexico (McKinley and Santa Fe/Los Alamos/Rio Arriba Districts). During my time in public service in New Mexico, I handled cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. I graduated from the University of San Diego in 2000, where I was actively involved in the San Diego Law Review as Lead Articles Editor and co-founded the first edition of the San Diego International Law Journal. I have also served as a certified instructor at the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy in Santa Fe and taught at New Mexico's Center for Judicial Education. I am a member of the California Bar. Originally from Massachusetts, I grew up in Glendale, California, and I am fluent in Armenian and French, with conversational proficiency in Spanish.
