Scott T. Melin

Scott Melin, J.D., M.A. Senior Managing Associate Attorney Scott Melin serves as Chief Operating Officer at the Bagley Law Firm, LLC, where he also leads a dynamic legal practice centered on complex, high-value civil litigation. His recent case successes include client recoveries of $1.58 million, $1.2 million, and $1.875 million, reflecting both his legal acumen and commitment to client outcomes. Scott represents clients across a broad range of civil matters—including personal injury, appeals, civil rights, and business disputes—often involving intricate and contentious litigation. He also brings deep experience to high-conflict family law cases, providing steady guidance in emotionally charged legal environments. A native of Colorado’s Front Range, Scott earned his degree in Philosophy and English from Colorado State University. He went on to receive a merit scholarship to the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, where he was an active member and executive of the Public Interest Student Association. His dedication to social justice led him to New York City, where he earned a Master’s degree in Human Rights from Columbia University, graduating with a 3.94 GPA. That same commitment has long guided his work, dating back to his early involvement with anti-domestic violence initiatives, including the Bringing Justice Home Project at Crossroads Safehouse in Fort Collins. Outside of the courtroom, Scott’s public service includes a term on the Littleton City Council, where he held the role of Mayor Pro Tem. An avid outdoorsman, he has hiked the entire 500-mile Colorado Trail and enjoys birding, fly fishing, and gardening. He currently lives in the Denver area with his wife and their two children.
