About

I am a dedicated family law attorney passionate about assisting clients through complex legal challenges during difficult times. I understand that family law involves more than just legal knowledge; it requires compassion and empathy. My experience spans divorce, legal separation, child custody, child support, UCCJEA jurisdictional issues, and DCFS appeals. I am committed to securing favorable outcomes for my clients while ensuring their well-being is a priority. I am adept in both negotiation and litigation, providing strategic advice and strong advocacy in court. When asked about the most important qualities in a family lawyer, I would emphasize “responsiveness and transparency.” I respect that my clients are experiencing upheaval, and I believe that being responsive and clear can help ease the process. I hold licenses in both Illinois and Indiana, regularly working in Cook and Will Counties in Illinois, and Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana. I am actively involved with the Indiana State Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. My career in family law began at the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, where I provided legal representation to domestic abuse survivors who could not afford legal assistance. I continue to advocate for those whose voices are often unheard, including children. I am a trained Guardian ad Litem (“GAL”), listed on the approved GAL list for Will County, Illinois, and a registered member on the newly created Indiana GAL registry. In my personal time, I enjoy caring for my four (!) dogs, keeping track of my teenage children, and competing with my husband in Yahtzee. With a creative background in Theatre, I was thrilled to join the board of the Towle Theatre in Hammond, Indiana in 2025, and I continue to support the creative arts community.
