About

I am deeply committed to providing compassionate support to my clients, paying close attention to every detail, and advocating fiercely on their behalf. My passion lies in family law, where I strive to achieve meaningful outcomes for those I represent. One of the most significant moments in my career was my appearance before the Illinois Supreme Court in 2019. In the case of *Charles V. Yakich v. Rosemary A. Aulds*, I argued a critical issue regarding the constitutionality of Section 513 of the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act. I upheld the DuPage Circuit Court’s decision, contending that the statute violated the equal protection rights of unmarried parents by requiring them to contribute to their children’s higher education expenses, an obligation not imposed on married parents. My academic background plays a vital role in shaping my approach to family law. I earned a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago, focusing on Children and Families. This education allows me to approach legal challenges with a deeper understanding of family relationships and their intricacies. I have been fortunate to receive recognition for my work. From 2021 to 2026, I was named to Illinois' “Rising Stars” in Family Law by Super Lawyers. This honor, based on peer nominations, reflects the dedication I bring to my practice. Outside of my professional life, I find joy in cooking, attending music festivals, playing golf, and spending quality time with my dog, Geoffrey.
