About

Before starting my own law practice in 2022, I spent over seven years working directly with a United States District Judge. During that time, I handled numerous lawsuits involving alleged unlawful employment actions, breaches of contract, and other violations of federal and state laws. I gained a deep understanding of these cases, assisting with countless motions and sitting through dozens of trials. Earlier in my career, I worked at a large firm in Pennsylvania and a medium-sized firm in Tennessee and Virginia, where I represented employers and business entities. This background gives me unique insight when advocating for employees and individuals on the other side. When I was in high school, my father lost the job he had held for nearly his entire adult life, just a few years short of retirement eligibility. I saw firsthand the devastating emotional and financial toll of employment loss. Early in my own career, I experienced sexual harassment by a superior, which gave me a personal understanding of the indignity and psychological harm caused by discrimination and harassment in the workplace. These experiences, along with my lifelong passion for civil rights, have drawn me to employment law and discrimination cases. I approach my clients with empathy and respect. I graduated second in my class from Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law, where I was the Managing Editor of the Penn State Law Review. I earned the highest grade in nine of my courses and was the top-ranked student on my campus. Prior to law school, I graduated first in my class from Hollins University. I am licensed to practice law in Virginia and Tennessee. I am a member of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association and the Tennessee Lawyers' Association for Women, and I have served in various roles within both organizations. I also currently serve on the Finance Committee for the regional YWCA.
