Susan also serves or has served on the boards of directors of the Hollings Cancer Center, Pro Bono Legal Services, Inc., the Charleston Civic Ballet, the Carolina Lowcountry Chapter of Girl Scouts of America, Inc., My Sister's House, Inc., Charleston Theatreworks, and Charleston Neighborhood Legal Assistance, Inc. Susan cares about her clients and works hard to bring them justice. She has represented numerous people in medical malpractice claims and won one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in the state. Her prosecution of a civil murder case in a federal court in Atlanta gained national attention in 1994 and was reported on national television. She has represented clients in a variety of matters including wrongful death claims, auto and trucking accidents, unfair trade practices, products liability claims, medical malpractice claims, commercial disputes, employment suits, and personal injury claims.
