Olivia Finlayson

I am a litigation attorney at Structure Law Group, LLP, where I assist with the firm's growing practice in complex business and commercial litigation. My work covers a variety of civil litigation matters, including contract disputes and intellectual property issues. I am involved in all stages of litigation, from conducting legal research and drafting pleadings to handling motion practice, developing discovery strategies, and preparing for trial. I approach my work with attention to detail, a solid foundation in litigation, and a practical focus on serving clients effectively. Before joining Structure Law Group, I represented plaintiffs in complex wage and hour class actions at an employment litigation firm. In that role, I advocated for workers on issues such as unpaid wages, meal and rest break violations, employee misclassification, and other widespread labor code violations. During law school, I gained a wide range of legal experience by working at a mass tort litigation firm, an intellectual property litigation boutique, and the in-house legal department of a record label, where I concentrated on contract review and drafting. I earned my Juris Doctor from LMU Loyola Law School, where I served as Chief Articles and Symposia Editor of the *Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review* and graduated with a concentration in intellectual property. My article, which analyzed antitrust law and bargaining power in the music industry and focused on the proposed antitrust exemption in the Protect Working Musicians Act, was published in Volume 44.3 and awarded Best Student Article, Readers' Choice by Concurrences. My academic work reflects my interest in antitrust law and its connections to creative and emerging industries. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, with minors in Sociology and Forensic Science, from the University of Toronto. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to complete a semester abroad in Sydney, Australia.
