Steve (or "Rap" as he is known to many of his clients) has been practicing law for the past thirty-six (36) years concentrating in the fields of personal injury, medical malpractice, workers' compensation and social security disability law. One hundred percent of Steve's practice is devoted to litigation. A member of the Rhode Island Bar Association since 1974, Steve is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1985 and the New Mexico State Bar since 1994. He was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island in 1974 and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1989. Steve has also been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court since 1978. Steve was educated at Boston University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1971, Magna Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from The American University Washington College of Law in the District of Columbia in 1974. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, American Bar Association, the American Association of Justice, the Rhode Island Association of Justice and the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association. Further, Steve has been a charter member of NOSSCR, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives since its inception in July, 1979. He is a frequent lecturer in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation and social security disability law and dedicates part of his legal practice to pro bono activities such as volunteering for the Rhode Island Legal Education Partnership as a judge in their mock trials, volunteering for the American Association of Justice Trial Advocacy Program and accepting pro bono supplemental security income disability cases for Rhode Island Legal Services. Steve, who was born on May 14, 1949, takes pride in protecting the legal rights of his many diversified clients.
