About
I bring a unique perspective to criminal defense through my past roles as a Deputy Sheriff and State Prosecutor. My background allows me to understand how law enforcement conducts investigations and how prosecutors build their cases, offering strategic insight from both sides of the courtroom. I know what the government must prove and where weaknesses may exist. Before establishing Gans Law in 2016, I worked at one of Orlando’s leading criminal defense firms, where I successfully represented hundreds of clients in criminal and traffic cases. During this time, I gained recognition for my pre-trial motion work and thorough case preparation. Earlier in my career, I served as a prosecutor for three years in Lake and Orange Counties, handling both misdemeanor and felony cases. My responsibilities involved reviewing investigations, filing charges, arguing motions, conducting depositions, and bringing cases to trial. I was also honored to be appointed as a Special Prosecutor on assignment by the Governor of Florida. Additionally, I spent three years as a Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit. In this role, I responded to emergencies, conducted investigations, made arrests, and secured evidence. I earned my law degree from Barry University School of Law, graduated from the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Florida State University. With over a decade of experience and education in the criminal justice system, I am committed to protecting my clients and working toward the best possible outcomes.
