About
Barbara Billiot Stage has worked as a community association lawyer since 2008, representing both associations and homeowners. While her original interest was employment law, she realized a practice in community association law was one she could be passionate about after buying her home in her first association. Prior to law school she worked at Lockheed Martin Manned Space Systems as a financial analyst and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts preparing contracts for the international markets. Barbara has been an avid promotor of Florida-Friendly Landscaping and served on the Advisory Board for University of Florida's IFAS program, which included speaking engagements. Barbara has also been a member of CyberCitizens for Justice for approximately 25 years, which is a community association watch dog group that reports the last news and court decisions affecting the industry. She participated in townhall meetings conducted by the House Select Committee on Condo and HOA Reform where the Committee listened to hundreds of owners in locations across the state to determine needed legislation for improvement of the industry.
