About

Mike co-founded Stadnick Nowierski-Stadnick LLP in 2021. Before that, Mike spent nearly twenty years litigating complex trials and appeals in courts all over the country. He served as trial counsel in dozens of cases on behalf of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small private businesses, and for both plaintiffs and defendants. Mike has served as counsel in cases resulting in over $100 million in settlements for his clients, jury verdicts for his clients totaling over $1 billion, and several complete defense verdicts for his clients. He has received recognition for his trial work in articles such as This Verdict Made Jaws Drop, The National Law Journal, February 18, 2008, and Deals & Suits: Rambus v. Infineon, Corporate Counsel, June 22, 2005. Before relocating to Bend, Oregon, Mike practiced for nearly 20 years in New York City. He was a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York City before leaving in 2010 to co-found New York litigation boutique Desmarais LLP. There, Mike helped grow Desmarais from a three-lawyer office to a firm of over 50 attorneys recognized by Vault as one of the top 5 midsize firms in New York City. Mike received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, magnum cum laude, in 2000. Earlier, Mike received a master’s degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Wesleyan University.
