About
I’m Stephanie McKinney, a civil litigation attorney focusing on premises liability and bodily injury cases. I earned my bachelor’s degree in legal studies, graduating magna cum laude from Florida Gulf Coast University, where I was honored to be inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. I then pursued my legal education at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where I obtained my Juris Doctor with a concentration in litigation. During my time in law school, I was an active member of national teams for both Moot Court and Mock Trial. I had the privilege of representing my school at the prestigious Duberstein National Moot Court Competition in New York. I also served on the Moot Court Executive Board and earned book awards in Trial Advocacy, Appellate Advocacy, and Moot Court. Additionally, I’m a proud member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Before joining St. Denis & Davey, I gained 17 years of legal experience working as a paralegal and law clerk for a national firm. My work included handling cases related to insurance defense, subrogation, product liability, premises liability, first-party property, commercial litigation, construction litigation, and creditor’s rights. I’m also a mother of twins and an identical twin myself. Growing up on a farm in the Midwest instilled in me a strong work ethic that has carried through my life. When I’m not practicing law, I enjoy exercising and competing in CrossFit and weightlifting competitions. I’m proud to be a Level 1 certified CrossFit coach.
