I am a partner at DeMartini Walker & Ghaedi LLP, Attorneys at Law, located in San Rafael, California. My office can be found at 185 North Redwood Drive, Suite 220. I have been rated AV, the highest possible rating, by Martindale-Hubbell, Inc., and I was named a Super Lawyer of Northern California in 2009 by *Law & Politics Magazine*. My practice focuses on Estate Planning, Wills & Trusts, Post-Death Probate & Trust Administration, Liability Protection Planning, Prop 13 Preservation Planning, Philanthropic and Charitable Giving Arrangements, Tax Reduction Strategies, Real Estate Sales and Financing Transactions, Family Business Entities Formation and Operations, as well as other Business, Contract, and Transactional Matters. I am not a litigator. I have been a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law since 1995, and I was admitted to the California Bar in 1976. Additionally, I was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, in 1976, and to the U.S. Tax Court in 1980. In the realm of public speaking, I have presented on topics such as "Estate Planning for Multiple Generations," "Family Trustee Selection Factors," and "Trustee’s Duties for Trust-Owned Life Insurance." My education includes an M.B.A. in Tax from Golden Gate University, earned in 1982, a J.D. from Hastings College of the Law, University of California, completed in 1976, and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Virginia, which I received in 1973. I graduated from St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco in 1969. I am a member of the California Bar Association since 1976 and the Marin County Estate Planning Council since 1984, where I served as a director from 2009 to 2015 and as president in 2011-2012. Additionally, I am a member of the Marin County Bar Association, participating in its Estate Planning & Probate Section and Real Estate Section.
