About
Dina Zalewski serves as an attorney within the Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Litigation departments at Sommers Schwartz. A native of Detroit’s East side, Dina’s professional path was forged by an early commitment to advocating for individuals who lack a platform to speak for themselves. Her decision to specialize in medical malpractice litigation at Sommers Schwartz was deeply personal, rooted in her family’s firsthand experience with healthcare provider negligence. Upon completing her Bachelor of Arts in English at Wayne State University, Dina earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During her tenure in law school, she received multiple academic honors and gained practical legal insight as an intern with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office Juvenile Division. Her proficiency in litigation was further sharpened through national moot court participation, resulting in her selection as the Moot Court Board of Advocates’ Associate Director for Internal Competitions and her subsequent induction into the prestigious Order of Barristers. Her professional affiliations include the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice, as well as the Macomb and Oakland County Bar Associations. Outside of the courtroom, Dina prioritizes her role as a mother and enjoys culinary pursuits, travel, and the company of loved ones. She is also a devoted supporter of the Detroit Red Wings.
