Bill Smith has dedicated his entire legal career—more than 40 years—to representing injured workers in South Carolina. Over the decades, he has handled thousands of workers’ compensation cases and estimates he has tried around 3,000 before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission. Bill has been a strong advocate for injured workers both in and out of the courtroom, serving as president of Injured Workers Advocates, chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the South Carolina Bar, and president of WILG, the national association of attorneys who represent injured workers. A lifelong South Carolinian, Bill is proud to serve clients across the state with honesty, compassion, and deep experience. He’s always happy to speak with injured workers—whether they need an attorney or just a bit of advice.
