Darrell Wayne Hinson

I am a trial attorney focusing on representing individuals and businesses in insurance bad faith and coverage disputes. I also work with individuals and families in Georgia and Florida who have been impacted by serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. With over three decades of experience, I have handled cases involving trucking and commercial motor vehicle crashes, automobile collisions, pedestrian accidents, fires, and unsafe premises. My background in insurance coverage and bad faith law allows me to address the complex insurance challenges that often come with catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. Earlier in my career, I worked as a corporate claims attorney for one of the nation’s largest property and casualty insurance companies. In that role, I managed litigation across Georgia involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and punitive damages, while also advising and training the claims organization on coverage matters. I began my legal career representing insurance companies and their policyholders in civil trial litigation in Georgia and Florida courts. I am an active member of the DeKalb County Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. Additionally, I frequently speak at continuing legal education seminars, where I present on topics related to insurance coverage and bad faith. I have been recognized in *The Best Lawyers in America* for Insurance Law and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs (2025–26) and have been included in Georgia Super Lawyers for personal injury and insurance coverage (2024–26).
