Kathleen Fuchs LeFevre

Kathleen has exclusively practiced family law since graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in 2012. Her practice includes divorce, child custody disputes, adult disabled children matters, international divorces, Hague implications, and same-sex marriages. She also handles large asset estates, complex property divisions, and enforcement actions related to possession, access, child support, and property. Kathleen has experience in settlement negotiations, mediation, hearings, and trial. She believes family law matters are highly personal and that no case is standard. By focusing on the unique circumstances of each client, she works to achieve effective and practical outcomes. While many matters resolve through mediation, she is fully prepared to advocate for clients in court when necessary. Kathleen’s background in finance and business helps clients understand the real-world implications of divorce agreements. She works with clients to address liquidity, tax considerations, and cash flow concerns, as well as custody and possession issues. Kathleen believes informed clients make stronger decisions and works closely with them to prepare for mediation, hearings, or trial. Kathleen has been recognized by her peers as a Houstonian Top Attorney in 2018 and as a Texas Rising Star attorney in 2019, 2020, and 2021. She has also been actively involved in supporting LGBTQ clients through family law matters.
