About
I am the President and Partner of Simmons and Fletcher, P.C., a Houston-based personal injury law firm established in 1979 by my late uncle, Robert S. Simmons. My journey with the firm began in 1986, when I worked as a law clerk while attending college. Since my admission to the Texas Bar in 1991, I have practiced continuously with the firm. In late 2020, I purchased the firm alongside my partners, Christopher K. Fletcher and Paul H. Cannon, and have served as President ever since. I oversee the firm’s pre-litigation department and handle cases involving car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, slip and fall incidents, dog bites, brain and head injuries, burn injuries, construction accidents, defective products, and wrongful death claims throughout Houston, Katy, Cypress, Memorial, Sugar Land, and across Texas. I am honored to have been named to the Super Lawyers list by Thomson Reuters each year from 2023 through 2026. Other recognitions include being featured as Living Magazine's Leading Women in 2021, named a Top Personal Injury Attorney by Lawyer's Monthly in 2022, recognized as a Featured Member of Lawyers of Distinction in 2022, and named a Top Lawyer by H Texas Magazine annually from 2013 through 2019. I also hold a 10/10 rating on Avvo. I earned my J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991 and my B.S. in Psychology with Honors and Distinction from Texas A&M University in 1988. Outside of my legal work, I serve as a Deacon at Willow Meadows Baptist Church and have been involved in Children’s Ministry there since 2000. I am also a proud member of the Christian Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Aggie Bar Association. Additionally, I have dedicated 15 years to serving as a Girl Scout leader. I am available for media commentary on Texas personal injury law, insurance negotiation, premises liability, and the unique needs of women and families seeking legal representation after an injury.
