Rajat Shankar

Rajat (Raj) Shankar is an immigration attorney with broad experience across removal defense and employment-based immigration matters. Having immigrated to the United States at the age of eight and later becoming a U.S. citizen, he brings a clear understanding of the legal and procedural challenges individuals face in the immigration system. Raj has handled a wide range of cases, including Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, and Deportation Defense. Raj focuses primarily on Employment-Based Immigration, advising both employers and foreign nationals on immigrant and non-immigrant visa processes. His practice includes handling petitions for skilled workers, professionals, and multinational executives, among others. Raj earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2012 and his B.A. in Mathematics from East Stroudsburg University. He has been admitted to the New York Bar since 2013.
