Austin Griffin

Austin Griffin is Senior Counsel at Consumer Justice Law Firm in the consumer protection practice group. After graduating from the University of Florida, Austin earned his J.D. at Wake Forest University School of Law. Austin's practice includes Credit Report Errors, Bankruptcy Credit Report Errors, Mixed Credit Reports, Deceased Reporting, Background Check Errors, Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA) Violations, Identity Theft Recovery, Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA) Violations, and Debt Collection Harassment (FCDPA). He is an active member of the Florida chapter of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA), and has extensively litigated FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA, and related state law cases. He also has experience in employment discrimination, personal injury, and class action cases, including his work in the National Insulin Pricing MDL. Austin has given CLE presentations on Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) claims involved in tenant screening for legal aid organizations and tenant unions. He has also been interviewed by local Florida and national news for his work on consumer protection. Austin's list of honors and publications includes the 2024 William A. Van Nortwick Jr. Pro Bono Service Award (4th Judicial Circuit Florida) and the Shy Godiva: Digital Likeness and The Personal Data Protection and Breach Accountability.
