Scott Edward Rabaut

I’m Scott E. Rabaut, a proud Michigan native passionate about defending the rights of individuals. As a solo practitioner, I’m licensed to practice in all Michigan state courts and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. My passion for law began while I watched my father protect constitutional rights and help people in need. Those experiences shaped my belief that everyone deserves fair treatment, a fair trial, and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Upholding these fundamental rights has been an essential part of my life and career. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University, followed by my Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where I focused on Litigation. I was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2016 and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in 2017. I take pride in providing personal legal counseling and assistance to individuals across the community and throughout Michigan. I also dedicate time to helping those struggling with drug addiction, working within judicial system-sponsored programs to connect people with the treatment they need. My experience in the criminal justice system comes from both academic training and hands-on practice on both sides of the courtroom. I’ve apprehended individuals while working in loss prevention and asset protection, contributed to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office during a school externship, defended citizens in private defense firms and through my own practice, and supervised offenders through the Michigan Department of Corrections with the Macomb County Parole and Probation Department. I remain committed to serving others and ensuring that justice is upheld in every case I handle.
