I am Michael A. Weaver, a corporate transactions, estate planning, employment, and technology attorney with a Martindale Hubble 5.0 AV Rating, and I have been practicing law for the past 30 years. In 2020, I expanded my practice areas to include Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning about five years ago and currently serve clients at Saunders, Walsh & Beard in McKinney, Texas. My legal career includes extensive experience as an in-house general counsel and as an attorney in private practice. My focus areas have been corporate transactions, technology licensing, IT contracts, business law, and M&A activities for privately owned companies. Over these years, I have also held the role of in-house general counsel for various clients, including a large Texas-based staffing company and a start-up cybersecurity technology company that was successfully sold. My experience extends to drafting and negotiating middle market and large syndicated secured commercial loans involving various assets such as real estate and equipment, along with intellectual property, software, hardware, and IT consulting contracts. Additionally, I have managerial experience from my time as the Operations Director & Vice President of Chase PULSE. In this role, I managed all performance and regulatory compliance aspects of the IT division, overseeing 25 employees and handling the outsourced Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Services relationship between JP Morgan Chase Bank and the PULSE EFT Association.
