About
Marisa A. Gelabert joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. as an associate attorney in 2024 after serving as a law clerk with the firm since 2022. Her practice is focused on personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death litigation. As a law clerk, Ms. Gelabert contributed to several notable cases and trials, including a birth injury lawsuit that secured a $75.9 million jury verdict. She also played a key role in preparing the hazing lawsuits filed by former Northwestern University athletes. Ms. Gelabert earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was an active member of the Moot Court Honor Society. She excelled in multiple competitions, earning distinctions such as Best Brief at the 2023 Civil Rights & Liberties Moot Court Competition. She was also honored with CALI Awards for achieving the highest grades in Evidence, Trial Advocacy I, and Pre-Trial Litigation. In addition, she served as a LexisNexis student associate at Chicago-Kent for two years. Before law school, Ms. Gelabert graduated Summa Cum Laude from DePaul University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Deeply committed to championing victims’ rights, Ms. Gelabert is eager to continue advocating for individuals who have suffered harm. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. Outside of work, she enjoys running and taking her dogs for walks along the Chicago lakefront.
