Joelle Shanesy

Joelle Shanesy is an associate attorney at Sadek and Cooper Law Offices, concentrating her practice in family law and helping clients with matters such as divorce, custody, child support, spousal support and alimony, adoption, and protection from abuse. Joelle earned her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law, graduating in the top of her class. Prior to earning her J.D., Joelle graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Political Science. Joelle’s love of family law began during law school when she joined the Family Law Clinic, helping clients with custody and divorce matters. Before joining Sadek and Cooper, Joelle worked at a busy family law firm in Pittsburgh, PA. Additionally, she has worked at the Pro Bono Center of the Allegheny County Bar Association, primarily working with the Divorce Law Project helping low income clients obtain divorces. During law school, Joelle was a judicial intern to the Honorable Judith Olson in Pennsylvania Superior Court. She is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association Family Law Section and Young Lawyer’s Division. She additionally is a member of the Nicholas Cipriani American Inn of Court.
