Jennifer Cottis

I am a civil litigator and trial attorney with extensive experience in general business litigation and employment litigation. For over two decades, my practice has focused on business disputes and employment and labor law. I have successfully represented both employees and employers in a wide range of cases, including those involving contracts, harassment, discrimination, whistleblower claims, and wage and hour matters. Having handled hundreds of cases, gained significant trial experience, and participated in numerous forms of alternative dispute resolution, I draw on my background to develop strategies and explore litigation and resolution options aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes for my clients. I have litigated throughout California in various labor-wage and hour cases, contractual and business disputes, and general civil litigation matters. One of my notable achievements includes securing a $25.9 million jury verdict after a six-week trial in an age discrimination case, *Hawkins v. Kmart Corp. et al*, Riverside County, Superior Court Case No. RIC462322. In addition to my experience and track record, I am known for being meticulous, articulate, attentive, and responsive. I earned my undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, where I graduated with a double major and honors in an accelerated three-year program. I then attended Santa Clara University School of Law, where I served as a research editor for the *Santa Clara Law Review* and competed successfully in moot court. I graduated in the top 20 percent of my class at Santa Clara University School of Law.
