Rebecca Elizabeth Rowland

I am a licensed attorney dedicated to family law in Harris and Fort Bend Counties. I have handled divorce, child support, paternity, suits affecting the parent-child relationship, modifications, child custody, CPS, guardianship, probate, termination and adoptions, and termination of paternal rights cases. I have been involved with over 150 family cases and have volunteered to help pro se litigants in over 200 cases, by either advising the party what to expect in court and how to prepare or handling the case pro bono. I am a single mother of 3 young men. I worked full time and was a single parent throughout law school. I have had to deal with my own family law matters over the years and know what its like both emotionally and legally. My father, Roy E. Rowland, was an attorney in Houston for over 30 years concentrating on family, injury, and criminal cases. I worked with him in his law practice for more than 10 years. We had planned for me to take over his firm once I became licensed in Texas. While in law school my father passed away, his firm was disbanded, and his clients were transferred to other attorneys. I loved working with my father and he taught me the most important thing about being an attorney is that we are here first to provide guidance and protection to our clients with their legal issues. I opened this firm to follow in my father's footsteps in protecting my clients with the legal issues they face. My fondest memories of my father were when we would talk about case strategies and how much joy he found helping children and families.
