About

I am a personal injury attorney with almost two decades of litigation experience. I was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago and pursued my undergraduate education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English. My academic journey then led me back to my hometown of Chicago, where I earned my law degree from DePaul College of Law. During my time at DePaul, my legal acumen shone as I contributed to the Moot Court Appellate team, showcasing my skills on a national stage. My path to personal injury law was set in motion during my law school years when my brother suffered a workplace injury as an ironworker. I clerked for the law firm representing my brother, and this experience ignited my passion for advocating on behalf of individuals harmed due to the negligence of others. Witnessing the life-altering impact of personal injuries, I was resolute in my choice to practice in this area of law. For four years in Chicago, I served as a dedicated plaintiff’s attorney, honing my skills and gaining comprehensive insights into every facet of these cases, including successfully representing clients in multiple trials. Following this invaluable experience, I shifted my perspective, transitioning to work as an insurance defense attorney. This transition provided me with invaluable insights into the inner workings of insurance companies and how they assess claims, adding depth to my legal knowledge. In 2015, my husband and I relocated to North Carolina, where I recommitted myself to representing injured individuals. My legal practice in North and South Carolina focuses on a wide range of personal injury claims, encompassing motor vehicle collisions, dog bite incidents, and premises liability cases. I am known for my fearlessness in advocating for my clients, even if it means taking their cases to court.
