Daniel Valentin

I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where I gained valuable experience working in the Immigration Clinic. During my time there, I represented asylum-seeking clients under the supervision of attorneys. My responsibilities included conducting in-depth client interviews, visiting detention centers to build factual and legal claims, preparing clients for credible-fear and asylum interviews, and advocating for individuals navigating removal proceedings. I also had the opportunity to contribute to an Amicus Curiae Brief submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. Additionally, I clerked for the Honorable Ellen Venzer and the Honorable Andrea Wolfson, further enhancing my legal training. I deepened my understanding of courtroom and criminal law as an extern with the Capital Litigation Unit of the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office, where I worked on complex and high-stakes cases. In 2022, I was honored to be selected as a Fellow with Yale Legal Services Organization. In that role, I conducted comprehensive legal research and drafted memoranda on post-conviction and parole issues. I also met with incarcerated clients to evaluate parole eligibility, observed parole hearings, and collaborated with supervising attorneys on initiatives aimed at systemic criminal justice reform, including proposed updates to Connecticut’s mandatory Life Without Parole guidelines. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2024, I focus my practice entirely on marital and family law. My approach is grounded in a commitment to thorough preparation, strategic analysis, and delivering results for my clients.
